AN EVERYDAY PROBLEM:
When trash overflows in trash bins, it causes an unsightly mess but the worst thing is, the bin is often not even full but rather, just filled with pockets of space.
BRAINSTORMING/INVESTIGATION:
Push down the trash always helps but this causes the trash to get stuck due to the increased density.
MY SOLUTION:
So with a top that can be pushed down to crush the waste, and a detachable base, we can now easily crush the trash and then push it all the way out.

EVERYONE WANTS ONE:
A rack is a very useful thing - it can hang hats, coats, pants, socks, keys and more.
TILL THEY DON’T:
But the moment there is nothing or too much to hang, it suddenly doesn't quite hold up.
HIDE IT:
With a few modifications, we can make it extendable, letting it hold more objects over a wider area as well as shrinking it down when not in use.

I SPY AN OPPORTUNITY:
With plants requiring sunlight on a regular basis, this energy was an opportunity to make a solar-related improvement.
MARKET RESEARCH:
While solar-powered pots that light up are already being sold, they are only designed for an outdoor placement. We want to make something for the city folk - those who live in apartments.
LIFE FINDS A WAY:
By creating a solar-powered suction pad, solar energy is easily harvested and channeled (via hidden cables in the rope) towards LED lights at the base.

CHOPPING DECKS
AN OUTDATED PRODUCT:
A cutting board has to be washed between uses in order to prevent the spread of bacteria.
THERE MUST BE A BETTER WAY:
Though this is done for hygienic purposes, it makes it hard for the cutting board to be shared when cooking with multiple people.
MORE FUNCTIONALITY:
Several thinner boards would allow more shared use. The additional storage areas below can be used for either chopped ingredients or cutlery.

DIRTY BOWLS:
Toilet stains are the worst. There had to be a better solution to ease the process of cleaning the toilet bowl.
K.I.S.S:
Powered brushes already crowded the market but it wasn't for everybody. We needed something cheap and brilliant.
DUAL PURPOSE:
So we improved the grip so as to allow maximum axis rotation without losing any power. This drew inspiration from basic existing tools and how they were utilized.

I AM A HERO:
Go ahead, tell me you never had that one time you wished you had your tweezer for that one stupid stray hair.
ONE PRODUCT TO ANOTHER:
Our goal was to turn a tweezer into an everyday ring that would never ever leave your side.
NOW I AM A ENGINEER:
Easily worn on a finger or used as a keychain, the core material is a malleable metal whilst the outer ring is a sturdy metal that only bends at the axis.

THE MORNING STRUGGLE:
Toothpaste is a hassle to finish to the last bit – it requires too much squeezing and self-confidence.
LET’S DO IT ALREADY:
The market is saturated with products to help you squeeze out the last drop, but few have ever just sat down and redesigned the toothpaste packaging.
WHY IS THIS SO FUN:
Inspired by push pop, all it takes to squeeze out is pushing the base towards and voila, toothpaste.

PERFECT WINE TIME
NOT THE COMMON MAN:
Different wines often each have their own preferred temperatures and unless you’re a sommelier, no one really knows that stuff.
BUT WITH MODERN TECHNOLOGY:
Thermal paper is a special fine paper that is coated with a chemical that changes color depending on the surrounding temperature.
FILL'ER UP:
By using these thermal sensitive labels, we can tell when is the perfect time to drink which wine - any excuse to drink.

IN THE NIGHT:
The only thing worst than being stuck in the rain in being stuck in the rain without light.
WHY NOT:
Scientists have discovered a fabric-like graphene panel that generates power from raindrops. It's like a solar panel but draws kinetic energy from the rain.
SAFETY BEFORE ROMANCE:
By directing the energy generated by the fabric unto a LED light, we can illuminate those rainy nights. Everyone is going to see you smooching now though.

WHAT REALLY MATTERS:
Butter Dispenser machines never quite evenly distributes the butter plus there are always loads of seeds.
STREET VENDORS:
While many solutions exist for this issue, the simplest is often the most effective. Thus we looked at bingo, peanuts, and even french fries.
POPCORN CHEF:
In the end, we expanded the machine to fit a mixing area that would allow a thorough mix of the butter. Plus two teppanyaki blades to sweep the popcorn cleanly back into the packet.
